In addition to exploring a backlog of ideas and projects, I'm working on finishing my PhD (at Aalto) and doing some minor investments here and there.

We founded NL Acoustics, a B2B hardware and software company making acoustic cameras, in 2015. Early on I worked on a wide variety of hands-on tasks around the product, development and sales. As we grew, I shifted from hands-on work on the product to building a compact organization of about 50 people, and keeping clarity on the direction of the company.

I worked part-time on modeling acoustic responses as constrained optimization problems, but the growing momentum of NL Acoustics eventually demanded my full focus.

I started freelancing in software and acoustic consulting - both to pay the bills and to fund early work on Noiseless Acoustics (later renamed NL Acoustics). It taught me a lot about the basics (and challenges) of running a business.

First role in acoustics, focused on consulting, design, and standardized acoustic measurements.

I graduated in 2012 with an MSc in Acoustics and Structural Mechanics.

I consider this my first "real job" relevant to my career. Before this job, I'd worked in convenience stores, a hamburger joint, a biomedical research institute, and as a substitute teacher.
